cleans well, and is very mild.

Coconut oil
Because of its good lather.
In addition to adding hardness,
it is a light oil and adds a fluffy lather to your soap.
Coconut Oil nourishes the skin keeping it soft and incredibly smooth.

 Vegetable shortening
is made of hydrogenated soybean oil and is a  way to add hardness to soap.

It is mild and has a stable lather.

Sweet Almond Oil
Helps to soften and smoothens the skin.
All these are achieved because the almond is not greasy.
In addition, it is a nice moisturizer applicable to all skin types.
It does away with irritation, itching, inflammation and is also lubricating.

Purified Water
Self explanatory...

Sodium Hydroxide
Soap is made by mixing lye and water with fats or oil.
Through a  chemical reaction when oil or fats (acid)
come into contact with the lye or sodium hydroxide (base).
This process begins with the lye turning the oil/fat
into a completely new substance that we know as soap.

Without lye, you have no soap.
